June 1875 - February 14, 1937
|
Search Party Finds Beaudray's Skiff This morning a search party of eight men went out in search of Pete Beaudray, missing since early Sunday morning. Mr. Beaudray's skiff was found on Kupreanof Island, this side of Five Mile. One oar was also found. Mr. Beaudray has been missing since Sunday morning around 2:30 when he rowed out in the harbor to board his boat. There is no definite knowledge of what happened from the time Mr. Beaudray first got into his skiff, but a little later that morning cries were heard coming from the water. The weather was stormy at the time and the water at the north end of the Narrows was very rough. Mr. Beaudray was 62 years old and is survived by a son, George, of Petersburg, and a daughter, Olive Klose of Ketchikan.
George, Peter, and two unknown men on Peter's boat. |
